Welcome To Reuben's Rescue Ranch
We are a small family-run farm that offers Life-Long Sanctuary to animals in need. The farm started as nothing more than a dream and a vision of being involved with animal rescue. In 2003, the barn was still under construction (by my husband), when 2 goats and a horse named "Reuben" became our first residents. Next, a family of three elderly donkeys whose owner passed away, quickly moved in and made themselves at home. Less than 6 months later, came a Premarin Mare named Tiny, with her unborn foal, and my poor husband had to scramble to build an addition on our "still-being-finished" barn. Over the years, animals who've joined the crew have included a retired race horse, a lonely llama, a stray donkey, more goats, various rabbits, cats, dogs, an over-sized flock of chickens, ducks and geese, and even a couple of tropical birds. They've all come to us in need, and all have their own stories to tell.
Our Goal at Reuben's Rescue Ranch is to help as many animals in need as possible, within the limits of our financial ability.
Our Mission is to nurture a symbiotic relationship between animals and people, with our Motto being:
"People Helping Animals, Animals Helping People".
A huge part of this mission is being accessible to the public:
We are Open for Visitors on Saturdays from Mid-May through October, and other times By Appointment or By Chance.
ON OPEN FARM DAYS, Admission is Free of Charge.
We are privately run and funded, so Donations are Always Needed and Gratefully Accepted, in order to continue to do what we do.
